I've known Bob for a long time, but really got a chance to work with him when I was Mayor of Driggs and the City hired him and his Plan One team to do the City Center Geotourism Center. That project was incredibly challenging, involving numerous stakeholders and a very tight budget. Bob and his team navigated those challenges admirably, on time and on budget. He brings those same skills to the County Commissioner's seat, and is a perfect fit for the current growth issues the County faces.
Bob has worked with the Driggs Urban Renewal Board to make the Front Street affordable housing project a reality, and led the effort to donate 8 lots in Driggs for future housing projects. His Republican opponent wrongly thinks the market will save us, and supports building high density housing in the County. The market got us into our current housing crisis, and with thousands of unbuilt lots still available it's clear that more county lots isn't going to solve any housing problems. And anyone who has driven Highway 33 lately knows the last thing we need is more sprawl and turning traffic.
