The Teton County Prosecutor's Office has been looking at sex assault numbers in Teton County and have found that the local rates are four times the national average. This is one piece of Thursday's presentation to Teton High School students.

On the heels of a newly released data on the growing rate of sexual assaults in Teton County, local agencies reached out to Teton High School to host an assembly just before the school’s annual prom.

Last Thursday, the all-school assembly was hosted by Teton County Prosecuting Attorney Billie Siddoway and Teton County Juvenile Probation Officer Renee Liedorf. They covered eight points in their presentation including issues around intoxication, sexting (texting with sexual overtones), and consent.

The assembly was taped and is available online here.
