Charges are pending following an accident last week between a Subaru and a semi-truck.

Briana Leaver, 29, of Tetonia, was driving northbound on Highway 33 near Driggs in a 2005 Subaru Legacy last Thursday when she crossed the highway line and hit Cody Casper, 25, of Idaho Falls who was driving southbound in a 2018 Peterbilt Semi-truck pulling a 2015 Western trailer.

Leaver was transported to Teton Valley Hospital and was later released. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Casper was not transported.

The highway was blocked for approximately three and a half hours.

On Monday, Mitch Golden, Public Information Officer with the Teton County Sheriff Office said the Idaho State Police are continuing to investigate the accident. He said that open containers of alcohol were found in Leaver’s vehicle and drug paraphernalia. Blood samples were taken from Leaver and results are pending.
