The Teton High School Drama Department is presenting “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” this week at the Teton High School Auditorium. Performances will be Wednesday through Saturday, starting each evening at 7 PM. The cost will be $5 per ticket.
This is the first summer drama program presented at Teton High School. Mr. Schindler, Drama Director, is hoping that it can become a tradition for future summers.
The high school drama department has invited Teton Middle School students to be part of this performance. It has been a fantastic opportunity for high school students and middle students to work together.
Practices for our performance began in June after school was out. The students have been busily rehearsing since the start of summer vacation.
Mr. Schindler has been assisted by his son, Andrew Schindler as Assistant Director. Julie Schindler has been working with the students with the many songs for this performance. Whitney McKee and Scarlette Cook have been working with the students on the choreography.
Because of summer schedules, some of the major roles have been double cast. The “Orange cast” will perform on Wednesday and Friday. The “Maroon cast” will perform on Thursday and Saturday.
The cast was happily surprised when the Chitty car showed up. Mr. Schindler looked for Chitty cars to rent across the United States. He fortunately was able to find a fully functional Chitty car in Layton, Utah.
This delightful show is family friendly. Please join Teton High School Drama Department for this amazing show!
